EURO RAPID & BLITZ UNDER 18
Herceg Novi (Montenegro)

Venue:

Tournament will take place in Herceg Novi (Montenegro) located on Adriatic Coast approximately 460 Km south of Belgrade (Serbia) and 110 km south from Podgorica (Montenegro) from the 20^th September (arrival) to 23th September 2006. (departures).

Travel conditions:

Organizer will provide transportation for participants under special prices, from:

a) Belgrade - Tivat (by plane approximately 40 minutes), Tivat – Herceg Novi (by bus 30 minutes) price 135 Euro (two ways)

b) Belgrade – Herceg Novi (by bus, approximately 12 hours), price 90 Euro two ways

c) Podgorica airport – Herceg Novi (by bus approximately 1 hour), price 60 Euro two ways

d) Tivat airport – Herceg Novi (by bus), price 25 Euro, two ways.

It is also possible to organize transfer from airport Cilipi (Dubrovnik – Croatia) about what it should be made special agreement.

Organizer is recommending to participants of Championship to use every-day line of official transporter of Championship “Montenegro airlines” from Frankfurt, Zurich and Vienna to Podgorica.

Lodging and meals

Accommodation and full board will be provided in the part A**** (200 places) and B&C*** (250 places) of hotel “Plaza” where the tournament will be held and in hotel “Igalo”*** in Herceg Novi.

All the players and their coachs are obligated to loadge in hotels suggested by organizer.

Lodging will cost per person FB (include breakfast & lunch & diner):

Rooms in part “A” have directly telephone line, cable TV, mini bar and air-condition.

Transfer between hotel “Igalo” and hotel “Plaza” (3 km) will be free and provide by organizer.

Registration's deadline is September 5, 2006.

At the moment of registration this amount must be transferred to the following

Competitions:

(1) 5th INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP – RAPID

9 rounds played according to the Swiss System, 30 minutes per player
Categories: boys and girls under 10, 12, 14, 16, 18
Entry fee: 20 EUR per participant.
Schedule

Prizes: The three best players in each categories win cups, medals and diplomas.
The five best players will be also awarded with prizes in different items in goods - gifts of our sponsors. The best boy and girl under age of 8 years will be awarded with very special prizes.
NOTE: If some of the categories lack the number of participants, Organizer has the right to join two categories or change the competition system.

(2) 4th EUROPEAN RAPID CUP - RAPID SUPER FINAL

The five best players in each categories of Individual European Championships - Rapid 2006, for youth and juniors, may enter Rapid Super Final (6 player x 5 categories - under 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 = 30 players, + 1 best player under 8, + 1 player will be selected by Organizer).
These players (altogether 32) - separate boys and girls, will play matches in 5 rounds (2 rapid games G - 15`), - knock - out system.
Prizes in cash: 1. = 500 E, 2. = 250 E, 3. = 150 E, 4. = 100 E ,
Prizes in goods: 5 - 8. places = 50 E in goods each
September 22^th 4,00 p.m. (1 – 3 round), September 23^th 4,00 p.m. (4 - 5 round)

(3) 5th TEAM EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - RAPID

Two categories, under 14 and under 18
Teams (clubs) are composed of 3 boys + 1 girl and maximum 2 reserves
Each National Federation may participate with many teams as they like.
One Team (club) may have players from two National Federation at the most;
System: Swiss system in 7 rounds;
Time limit: 15 minutes per player;
Entry fee: 5 EUR per participant
Schedule September 15^th 3,00 p.m.
Prizes: The three best teams in both categories win cups, medals and diplomas,
and will be awarded in different prizes in goods.

(4) 5th INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - BLITZ

Two categories, under 14 and under 18 separate for boys and girls;
System: Swiss System in 9 rounds;
Time limit: 5 minutes per player;
Entry fee: 5 EUR per participant;
Schedule: September 23^th 10,00 a.m.
Prizes: The three best players in both categories win cups, medals and diplomas.
The five best players will be awarded with different prizes in goods.
The best boy and girl under age of 8 years will be awarded with very special prizes.

(5) 4rd EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN SOLVING CHESS PROBLEMS

Schedule: September 23^th 5,30 p.m.
Two categories, under 14 and under 18;
Prizes: The three best players in both categories win cups, medals and diplomas;
The five best players will be awarded with different prizes in goods;
The best boy and girl under age of 8 years will be awarded with very special prizes;
The total prize fund in gifts for all events will be over 8.000 Eur in goods, and 2.000 Eur in cash (for super finals) as well as additional prizes and goods.
